Default Cam install extras?

I have a 00 ta with about 44k miles and I am wanting to install a hot cam. Should I replace the oil pump and timing chain or is it not necessary.
Any help would be great.

Search button!!!

LS6 style oil pump, LS2 timing chain (buy from SDPC-->)

Of course the springs, pushrods, etc are assumed.

Out of curiosity, why the hotcam?

I would do a ported LS6 oil pump, front main seal, and LS2 timing chain. You don't need valve cover gaskets, front cover gasket, and you can even get away with re-using your water pump gaskets (Replace anyway to be on the safe side).

That's what I did.

unrelated but you might want to look at some more cams...nothing against the hot cam but you can find some with similar characteristics that put out larger numbers
