Default what cam is best 220/224 113- 220/220 112- 224/224 114

I'm trying to get the most out of my cam for emissions in California, I think its crap that you can't run longtubes just because of visual, so I'm going to get some and say to hell with them, but obviously the cam is more difficult to pass if its to big. I've done some research on here on what will pass, some say 224/228 114 LSA has passed which has -2 overlap, but more common I see the biggest that will safely pass is the 224/224 114 LSA with a -4 overlap. Since it is clear that this cam will pass I see no reason to go with more overlap only to find out it won't pass. So I've decided to go with a crane cam custom cut to my needs. All of these cams 220/224 113- 220/220 112- 224/224 114 with 561/561 or 551/551 lift depending on what I can get away with using LS6 springs have the same -4 overlap, but will one be a better choice over the others? I know there might be slight differences between them, but not to sure what they are. I'm not worried about rough idles or surge, just mainly looking for the best setup and power for my daily driver. If I could, I'd go much bigger like the ASA GM cam, but lovely **** California says otherwise.

Of those choices, the best one is the 224/224 114LSA cam if you're running headers. If you're still running stock manifolds and cats, you'll probably want a bigger split between intake and exhaust duration, like the CheaTR cam. It has -10 degrees of overlap, but will rpm to 6800.

I would do the 220/224 or the 224/224 cam.
Like said above if yor exhaust is holding you back use a cam like the cheater cam.
Personially I would use the cheater cam.
Leave the exhaust stock and run a 918 spring.
Pass emissions, look stock, sound mostly stock and have a much more fun car.
Call Thunder and talk to them about it.
