Which head gaskets are around .050 to .055 thick?
What year?

GM graphite gaskets (advertised at .054, but mine were .053)

99-00-01 (I'm not sure about 02)

Default gaskets

Get a pair of Cometic gaskets in the thickness you need. They can make them in a variety of thicknesses. Cometics or GM MLS gaskets will not work with the early heads however. Early heads have a "U" shaped cut out on the deck surface. Most had perimeter style valve cover bolts.

Default Cometic gaskets

You can order Cometic gaskets direct. Toll free number: 1-800-752-9850
You need to tell them the bore size and thickness you need. I can't seem to find my current price sheet.
