Doesn't sound like springs. Shuddering sounds more like a tuning issue. Maybe your O2 sensors are going bad. But if you have 40k miles on your Manley springs, consider yourself fortunate to not have broken one yet. The X-1 is a hot little cam and has some very fast ramps. Congrats on the long spring life.

There is nothing wrong with your springs.. It will have power loss at higher rpms if it is the valve springs.. not down low.. That sounds like a "possible" fuel problem to me..it could be loading up with fuel a lil bit and clearing up when you get on it hard.

well thats what i thought too but EVERY LS1 (MTI,THUNDER RACING,TEXAS SPEEDjust to name a few )Shop told me springs
they explaned as so
the spring are not strong so they cant keep up with the lobs on the big cam at idle or lower rpms but once at certain rpms stuff is moving faster and easyer for the valves to ackt like they are working correct (sealing and **** i guess) and it runs better that is was with them now working alt lowwer rpm's but the car still does not have all that it should
personally never mad too much sence to me but they are the SPECIAL ist

Well, I really don't think its the springs. From what I've always seen personally, the power loss will be in the higher rpms with worn out springs. My stock springs are shot at the moment and on the dyno you could see where the springs started fluttering the valves and the power was jumping up and down irradically..

A GOOD performance valve spring will lose very little pressure after it's run....some lose none but that is not the norm. However, performance cams are harder on valve springs than stockers and my guess is your springs will continue to show good pressure until one or more of them are in two pieces. At 40K, count your blessings and replace them with EXACTLY what came out. Obviously those springs are a very good match for the intensity of the cam lobes you are running.
A broken spring can wreak slight havoc or total disaster depending on the RPM's when failure occurs....NOT worth the risk. If you installed a performance aftermarket cam and thought you should NEVER have to change them, your going to learn the hard way. At 40K you should put a used one on your trophy mantle and wink at it occassionally when passing thru....

i did not think it either but everyone said to try it and everyone told me 40k was alot on springs so change them anyway because of milage
if a coil wouldn't it be all the time or could it come in and out like it is doing.
can I buy one coil and swap it all around,, one each cylinder untile i hopefully find the bad one or are they spicific to sides or cylinder #
