for a small cube turbo motor. I dont want anymore then 365 ci. What would be a good combo for this setup im looking to build. I want to make 1000 hp and drive it everywhere....No nonsense posters please.. I want to hear some good info like what W2W is doing with a 352 ci motor. Thats the kindof information im looking for.

iron block or aluminum block?
low end or high RPM?
why "no more than" 365CIs?

you could do a forged 6.0 iron block, boost the SH*T out of it, and go all day long....

Because it will be a solid roller adn you dont need alot of CI to run a boosted setup. Thats the problem with alot of cars out there now. Last time I checked none of the fast boosted guys were running more then 400 ci setups!

well that would mean if you use more cubic inches you could be faster than your average boosted guy

.........

Old Chinese saying........"No replacement for displacement....."

the only reason to do small CIs is:

a) class rules won't let you use big CIs....
b) you don't have the money to do big CIs....
c) because you wan't to be the fasted ____ CI car....

to get back to your question, the way I understand it, a longer rod will make you engine more durable, and better at high rpms, by keeping piston speed low, and reducing rod angularity. A shorter rod will make your engine more torquey and responsive at lower speeds but limits rpm, and can effect durability...

An iron block 370 seems to be a good setup for a turbo. Harlan and Mighty Mouse both used this combo and there cars seem to do excellent. Pretty much comes down to how much power the motor can hold......not how much power it actually makes n/a.
