Is my combination good or not
Hi
I have Camaro 1998 ls1 4A convertible. I installed 342 ring & pinion, SLP exhaust system, long tube headers, SLP led, K & N filter, crank pulley, TCI torque converter 3000 and super chip power tuner but with custom program inside it for all of this parts. Now I installed ls6 hot cam 219/229 lift 525/525.
What u think of my combination and what should I do to make my car better and work very good with this parts, should I put a power cooler for transmission and change the valve spring and reprogram my computer or leave it as it is.

i want u to know that my problem is my trans every time malfunction and the mechanic said that the problem from the converter also its not combatable with the hot cam so that i need your advice. i did a free mods and removed EGR.

If you havn't upgraded the valvesprings that should be a priority. LS6 springs should do nicely.

the problem probably isnt your converter. that stall is fine for the hotcam. my tranny had all kinds of issues with that cam, and i had a stock stall. there are some parameters in the computer that make the line pressure, converter lock/unlock, and the shifting go ape **** if your car gets out of the parameters. i am not exactly sure what it is but my friend tunes my car and he was explaining it to me. it usually only happens with big cams in A4s but it happened to me with the hotcam and i am sure it is happening to you. it felt like the converter was jumping back and forth and the shifts were erradic.
