Default Crane quick lift cam, need Dual Springs?

I could use some advise on valve springs.

I Got a 2005 Silverado 4x4 5.3
Added CAI, catback with Lingenfelter GT2-3 cam and Z06 springs a couple months ago. Truck runs great! I originally wanted a cam that would work with stock programming and the GT2-3 ran great. (I didn't have much loot at the time and it looked like programming would be atleast 400.) Then heard about wait4me and he's only a couple hours away so took the truck to him for a tune and really runs great now.

Well fast forward a couple months and I've gotten a little carried away with other mods: lowered, custom wheels etc..

Now I want a little more cam in it, something with a little attitude (lope). I got a Crane 216/224 .551/.551 115lsa. I planned on just swapping cams and keeping the Z06 springs but looks like The Z06 springs arent up to spec (90#/294#), Crane cam card calls for 112# @1.800 and 303# @1.270. Crane recommends their dual spring setup which appears to need new seats, valve seals and retainers. All that is gonna add up $$$.

I was thinking about using comp 918 springs 130#/318#, that would be cheaper/easier or should I spring for the duals?

Also, can someone look at cam card and tell me how many degrees of advance is ground in?

Thanks

I just installed that very cam in my car (Boss II). I used the Crane springs. I know the Comp 918's are a favorite here, but I have to tell you that my setup is as quiet at stock. I have absolutely no sewing machine noise, and I believe the springs have a lot to do with it (my opinion). I really need a tune though, I took it out for a 100 miles drive today and the tailpipes are full of soot.

Excellent cam choice, but get the 144832 dual spring kit. As vettenuts said, they appear to be a quiet combination

get the duals. it's what's designed for that cam. i'll say that for any cam. use whatever springs they recommend.

Need them? I don't know, but I'll give you my experience. When I first installed the Crane 1.80 Quick-Lift roller rockers, I was using a brand-new set of PRC dual valve springs. As it turned out, they didn't like each other and I got a bad dip in power at the top-end resulting from harmonics/valve float. When I switched to the Crane duals, the dip went away and I picked up another 10 rwhp.
