Will I need to upgrade my fuel system for an F13?
Hey everyone, i decided on an F13. It will be goin on an otherwise stock 98 ls1 engine with the mods in my sig. I have everything I need such as a new timing chain, springs, retainers, hardened pushrods, rockers, ported ls6 oil pump, etc and I will be having it dyno-tuned. My only question is will I need to upgrade my stock 98 injectors and fuel pump to run this cam or can I get away with say a boost-a-pump? Any info would be great!

Really? I always thought it took a substantial heads / cam package to max out the stock injectors (28# atleast). Have I been skating on thin ice with my f13 and stock injectors? While I havnt logged the injector duty cycles, I figured if it ran out of headroom it would lean out and Id get some ping up top to alert me.

i run svo30s (34.5# on our pressure) and i hit 85% duty cycle @6500rpm while on the dyno, making only 364rwhp (mustang dyno), on a LS1 head/Z06 cam/LS6 intake/lid/exhaust.
I've seen big cams (trex) work on small injectors(28s). usually it means they're severly detuned, and not making the power they should be making.
F13 is a decently large cam, and people have pushed over 420rwhp on cam only. That's already pushing SVO30s, so the next step up is 42s, which work brilliantly with our cars, providing plenty of headroom (read: you can spray on top of the big cam )
