did u rotate the crank and then verified the dots are still aligned? if not you might want to do this. turn the crank over 2 turns then check dot to dot alignment, if aligned you are good.

If you were off, you would know it. The minimum you could be off is by one tooth. So you would definatly be able to see that pretty well. I would rotate the crank a full turn just to see where it lines up. Can never be too safe.

If you rotate the crank about a billionth of a degree clockwise, theyll be spot on if you just want to see them perfectly lined up. But you are on the correct tooth, which means youre good to go.

Easiest way to check is when ytou think you have it dot to dot. look at the very top hole in the cam gear. The top cam plate bolt should be perfectly in the middle of said hole.
After doing one million cam installs you pick up a bunch of little stuff like that.

give it a full rotation and see if it end up lining up again.
