I looked at a friends F-body a few days ago and it looked like a PITA, I bet it would be double the time but they got it easyer on the cam installs so it all evens out..

its not too hard on a fbody. the PS pump bolts are a bitch!!!!!!!!! and so are the grounds on the back of the driver side head. Other than that, its pretty straight foward as already mentioned. just take your time and becarful with the ground wires. Clean the bolt holes thoroughly!

ask yourself this 1 simple question:
"do I have some mechanical ability?"
if you answered "yes" to your own question, than there is no reason why you shouldn't be able do this job. It is a very straight foward job, and is not difficult at all (my opinion only) the thing is, it's a time consuming job. The power steering pump bolts and the ground bolts are not bad either if you have the right tools for the job.

Easy job. But make sure they are Z06 heads. there are a lot of LS2 "243 casting" heads out there now selling cheap. They are the same castings, but without the lightweight valves.

just go ahead and get started and tell us how you did. I started asking questions before I did mods to my car. and all the answers were making me think twice about doing it. leave you weekend free. since it is your first time doing this. and take your time. the first couple of times it is a PITA. but after that you will almost be able to do it in a couple of hours. I can have an ls1 in an fbody torn down to the short block in no time. now you might want to think about a compressor and air tools. they heads are on there TIGHT. so if you dont have air tools then leave the whole weekend open.haha. o well. a few words to the wise. take you time. do it right. and remember your torque specs and the pattern in which to tighten them down.
