Yep, sure will. The diff is that the links are beefier, which makes the chain stronger overall. I plan on going with an LS2 chain when I do my heads/cam setup.

Yes it'll work. I've put two LS2 chains on LS1 cars (one being mine) w/o a problem. It is much beefier than the ls1 chain.

Does anybody have a picture of the LS1 chain next to an LS2 chain?

I dont have a picture but when me and FstBlkz28 put my cam in we put the chains side by side and the links on the LS2 are twice the size of the ones on the LS1 chain. Other than that everything else is the same.

Since they share the same part number, how can you be sure your getting an LS2 chain off the shelf at GM and not an LS1 chain with the same part number just lying there in and amongst the new stock?

when you get the new one in hand, and have your old one off the car and put them side by side. You'll be able to tell, its a pretty noticeable difference even at a quick glance.

Here is a pic of the heavy duty chain we use. It has NEVER broken (root cause of failure) in all of racing and durability testing. It retails for $139.94.

Cobra,

This is an LSx GM forum in case you didn't notice. Could you please change your handle. On this board LSX rules.
Sorry, even if you do not own a LSX, you are welcome here, but there is no need to disrespect all of us by taunting.
I hope you understand.
