Default GMPP LS6 cnc'd heads part#88958665 vs 88958662

Which would be best for street application w/ a LFE GT2-3 stealth cam for 01 Z06. Want to run on regular 93 octane pump gas with no problems on totally stock bottom end etc. Going with these heads b/c of warranty. Need stealth.
Thanks,
Kevin

these are the ones i am looking to buy, but don't know if they are not right for my application:

part# 88958665
Chamber volume 65cc
intake valve 2.000
exhaust valve 1.550
installed height 1.800

I just purchased the same set up. I went with the 665 heads at 65cc. The 60 cc I was told are too much for pump gas. I was looking to deck the 65 down a bit but most people say to leave them as they are. I will be doing the install over the winter so I cant give you actual results. Should be a good set up good luck

Ok, so the higher cc, the better they are for pump gas, cool. Thats what I thought, just wasn't sure. Thanks. What cam are you going with by the way?

LPE GT2-3. Should be a great sleeper, hopefully close to 400RWHP and nice torque gains through the entire RPM range

The 65 cc should come in around stock CR, or about 10.5:1 or thereabouts. You might also want to contact Ed Potter at LPE for some information, he might be able to give you better information on the final CR.

From what I was told the 65cc chambers will result in a slightly higher CR than stock Z06.

Ok great. Sounds like those heads + the GT2-3 cam is a great sleeper package where you don't lose any streetability or driveability & would be undetectable from a stock car unless you actually take the engine apart. BTW, what car do you have George?

You also might want to fine-tune squish clearance with Cometic gaskets. Per various threads here, as little as .025" should be safe on an aluminum engine (grows 0.006" -0.007" more than an iron block), and the slightly higher CR would help maintain DCR Dynamic Compression Ratio (see also several threads)
