Default Cam Dowel Pin?

I bought a used cam and noticed it doesn't have an alignment dowel pin. What's the best way to remove the pin from the old cam? Then can I just tap it into the new cam with a hammer and locktite. I really don't want to go to a machine shop and wait for them to get around to it. Any help will be usefull.

You can try removing the old one, but it's probably a slight PITA to get out without damaging it. You could also call up Comp (or who ever the manufacture is) and have them send you a new one, or get the pin diameter and length and buy one from the hardware store, mine carries alot of different size pins.
