where to mount oil temp sensor?drill?

Default where to mount oil temp sensor?drill?

do i have to tap into the oilpan?someone told me i might be able to pull out a plug bye my oil filter and put it there.

You can tap into the little cast piece by the oil filter. The C5's are pre-drilled and tapped with a sensor already in place. I think the little cast piece is held in with two bolts.

Believe that little cast piece, is where the trucks put the oil
cooler hard lines. Presuming you care enough to watch it,
maybe you want to manage it as well and then your options
for sensor plumbing expand.

this is where mine is. works great and is in great location
