Newbie, LS6 going into kit car, want more HP
I have a crate LS6 that I am planning to put into a kit car. I'd like to pump up the HP a bit without use of a power adder; no room for one.
Suggestions? Are there any performance 'packages' available as a set or something like that? It needs to pass smog.
Please, keep in mind, I am new to the LSx world.
THanks,
Jeff

these engines respond so well to typical performance parts, such as exhaust, intakes, cams, etc.
starting with an ls6, you could only put headers and a cam in it and be well over 500 fwhp. also, start looking around your area for someone capable of tuning these beasts, as the tune is a VERY big factor in performance with a cammed LSx.
the only step-up intakewise for you would be to purchase a fast 90/90 setup. those are very expensive, but worth it for someone trying to get the most out of their cammed setup. you already have 243 heads, those heads will support A LOT of horsepower, no need to change, IMO.

Dang, sweet. I have not purchased the electronics yet for the vehicle. I was planning on running the stock vette computer but not sure yet. There are a few LSx speed shops near me, I believe LSSpeed is one.
Recommendations on headers and cam then?
Jeff
