I think it depends on who's stage 3 head it is. Most stage 3 heads are set up for a bigger bore than a 346.

You can do standard seats and bore with 2.04 intake
or standard bore and aftermarket seat with 2.055
but larger requires bigger bore size to unshroud the valves.
