Need quick response: Lifters

Is there anyway to test the lifters? i have my heads off and ive checked the valves, they all look good. I have an upper motor tick/clack... Some help please?

you can try pushing the plunger down in each one and see if any are easier than the others.

Dont forget to look for unusual wear on the surfaces. If you also haven't yet, make sure the pushrods arent bent.
