Default 370 ?'s about combination

well i'm finally getting my motor built and was wandering what some of you think about my combination. it will be about 11.7-11.8:1 compression, ported 5.3L heads, custom Futral grind 243/250 .617/.639 114+4. for now it will have an LS6 intake and ported t-body but later i want to go with a victor jr. intake, fabbed alu. elbow and 90-105mm t-body.

what size injectors will i need? i was thinking that SVO 30's should do (no dry kit, just motor)

is there anything that i am missing or should take in consideration?

any guestimation on what kind of hp(flywheel) it should make with a decent tune (i was asked this when i was giving allen my info to restall my torque converter today)

thanks, Jeff

What size valves will you run?
Will 5.3 heads even with stock valves clear a cam that large?
What pistons are you running?

the heads will have stock 2.0 & 1.55 LS1 valves, the pistons are diamond flattops with -2cc valve reliefs.

is this a track only car? Also those 30's will not be enough. at a minimum go with 42lb injectors to give you some room to play with for any power adders down the road. You will need more than the stock fuel system to support this as you will run out of fuel with this combo it seems to me. With out any flow numbers on the heads it is real hard to give a number for the combo. 370 motors have the capability to do 480-500 to the rear wheels but you will have to spin the motor 7k+. I looked inot a 370 motor a while back a found the biggest key to this motor is getting a dead on tune to obtain the max power out it. Make sure your tuner takes their time.

thanks man, the heads don't have flow #'s. they are being done by a guy that i know, he's done about 15 sets of lsx heads and i've seen several before and after dyno #'s. for just what they are they should do fine, probably compariable to the PP stg. II's maybe a little better power. later on i would like to get some dart 225's and get them ported by this guy.

as far as injectors, the svo 30's are supposed to be around 34-36's with ls1 fuel press. i think the 42's would be a little over kill (one of my friends has a 434 futral built motor and he runs a 255L intank and svo 42's with a dedicated n2o fuel system, futral does most of the work and its been a best of 9.2xx's with a controlled 300shot)

i'm still debating between 2 tuners to tune it, either way i do know both of them are capable of doing it well.
