Tough call, but the 231/237 on the 112 will get my vote.

233/239 is the newer version of the cam. If youre staying NA do that cam on a 112 with 4.10s

They said that the Torquer2 would beat their 231/237 and their 233/239? Technically the bigger cam should get the car down the track faster all else equal. However if you have other considerations like road manners, you might not want to blindly follow the bigger is better rule of thumb.

Ive got the 233/239, it runs alright. car is set up to run on nitrous, but it still went 11.9 on motor down the 1/4 this is with the 12 bolt and 373's. When ever i got my dyno tune, it had the 10 bolt in it, it made 403 rwhp sae. dont have all the bolt ons either, still have the stock ud pulley, stock TB, stock water pump, stock maf,

If i had to pick a new cam, id definitley go with teh latest rev of the Magic Stick.

Yeah they were talking about over all they thought the Torquer was a better cam and the 233/239 is bigger that the Torquer, so if i followed the logic that you were talking about i would have gone with the 233/239 out of these cams. i guess i had my eyes open when i was looking at these cams.

the guys at tsp told me the torquer cam. but i have installed the 231/237 and 233/239. really have seen no difference in them. they are both very similiar camshafts.

My buddy has a ms3 and I have the first version of the 233 / 239. My car lopes a little harder then his does after tuning, I don't know why, probably cause he's on a 113 and i'm on a 112. His car is a DD with a stock rear and he does just fine.

I love the way my car sounds. This cam with my 12 bolt and 4.11's have taken down many cars incuding cammed z06s

That is the question!

I really feel when you get to the 233/239 size anyway or even the 231/237 the driving differences there and between the MS3 are minimal at best. Might as well jump up to the MS3.

I believe the 231/237 is on the xe lobes instead of the xer lobes of the newer 233/239. I was told by one of the guys at TSP that this is why the peak #'s will be similar but area under the curve is better on the 233/239. A good bit gets picked up in the midrange. All in the lobes I guess. I was leaning towards the 231/237 since it will be a little nicer on the springs and is still a proven performer.

These are both the cams Im currently looking at. I think I will go with the 233/239 for the reasons cen TX stated. With the MS3 you dont get peak power untill over 6000 and thats just not what I want when driving on the street. Either way the 112 LSA is going to be better. Id like to see some more opinions of the two though.

So your saying the 233/239 on 112 has MORE under the curve than a ms3 and the ms3 only makes some more power on top?

TSP what do you think? From some of the posts it seemed like the ms3 made same if not more under the curve too.

No thats not what I am sayin. I was saying the Ms3 you have to wait for peak power longer than you would have to wait for peak power in the 233/239

233/239 on 112 gets my vote. It's got the perfect powerband for my set up, which is mostly on the street and at the strip on weekends. With 112+4 on X-ER lobes it should ramp up the torque pretty quick. I plan on shifting at 6300-6400, RevLimit at 6700-6800.

Anyone with 4.10's and M6 know what mph you can get to at the top of 4th, and what were you spinning at "The Top?" I'm hoping I can still be in 4th at the line and doing over 110. I don't know if it'll still do 120+ in 4th with 4.10's maybe at 6400 rpm.
