Default Question for Dart Head owners

Are the valve cover rails any taller than stock? I'm curious because I'm thinking seriously of purchasing some Darts for my "02" and I already have a set of Comp magnum 1.75 rollers. If I put them on the motor now, I have to get spacers. If I wait, I'm wondering if I can get by without the spacers on the Darts. Thanks!! Stock covers BTW.

Interesting question. I have them on the bench right now but haven't seen anything noticable to the eye.

They're about the same height as stock. You're still going to need spacers.

I have the Comp 1.75:1 Pro Magnum Roller Rockers with the stock valve covers and no spacers. I did have to do some clearancing with the die grinder. Take a look at some of the pictures on my web site (see signature). You can see what has to be clearanced.

My heads will go on this weekend (weather permitting ) but I did mock up my Cranes last night and then used some clay to get clearances. It appears that the Cranes will clear on the Darts as they do on the stock heads. I know you are using Comps, but thought this my be useful information if the Comps are supposed to clear on stock heads. Mind you, its not a dance hall under there, but I don't think there will be any contact problems.
