Why doesn't anyone replace lifters when they do a cam swap? In other small blocks thats one of the main things that need to be replaced. Is it just not needed in the LSX's?

1- You need to remove the heads to access the tappets
2- Roller hydraulics have a long life if setup and oiled properly.

If you put a big cam on them, it is recomended, but you could get away with it for awhile.
