Should I add anything to my TSP cam swap order?

Should I add anything to my TSP cam swap order/cam question
OK, here is what im about to order:
Basic Camshaft Bolt & Gasket Kit
TSP Camshaft, PRC Spring Kit & Pushrod Package (with the 228R 112LSA)
GM LS2 Timing Chain
TSP Ported LS6 Oil Pump
160 stat
Texas Speed Mail Order Custom Tuning
as well as the stuff i need to do my header install:
Texas Speed 3" Off Road Y Pipe
24" O2 Extention
The car is kinda a DD when i don't have a work van handy. Will that cam still make good torque a litle lower in the powerband, or is it all top end? I don't want a cam that is all top end power since I don't drive all day at 6000+ RPM. Car has about 40k miles on it.
Anyone know if those PRC springs in that package come with new retainers or anything? Look's like they do in the picture. Would they be overkill for that cam, like should i just get the 918's? Oh yea and they would be a straight replacement with no machining needed, correct?
The headers I purchased off a local guy here were originally for a 2000, what is different about those ones than a 99? I know they fit, but I think it is something to do with the EGR or AIR systems.
Also can anyone tell me if TSP's tune can't do one of these: eliminate skip shift, make traction control start in OFF, remove the rear o2's, tire size change, typical weather here, 94 octane gas and EGR or AIR if needed for the headers.
Thanks for any input guys.
EDIT: Don't want a pulley since I have a pretty powerfull stereo, 2000W's+

The PRC spring kit will have the retainers and the seats and seals. If you are doing the swap yourself I would grab some extra keepers since they are cheap and it will save you time if you shoot one across the garage

n2o junkee: So the headers and y-pipe will not just go together with a band clamp?
sl3966: I will be doing it at a local mechanics garage. I do his electrical work, and i get to use his lift How many do you think I could lose, and I should be able to get them from the local parts store or dealership if it goes a mess. That and I can't find them on the TSP webpage.

If they are a slip on style header the y-pipe should just slip on and then you clamp it. You shouldn't need new colllectors.
EDIT: Just saw you had pacesetter, you don't need new collectors.

They have the keepers at Afterthoughts auto a set of 16 for 22.00 or you could go to the dealer and get them seperate. I had my wife go out and get like 3 extras. It helps if you put a pen magnet near them as you compress the spring but I still ended up almost putting my eye out on 2.

I Just got my tsp cam package with the 918 springs, and 228R it did not come with the retainers, i called and asked because it was in the pic and they still said "no", i was under the same impression, if i knew that i woulda spent the extra $100 and went with the 921 cam package and got a lil bigger cam.

If you really concerned about making the job complete. Go get all the gaskets (timing cover, water pump, oil pan, oil pump pick-up tube o-ring, and crankshaft seal). It's not needed, I've done 4 cam only swaps and have done some without changing any gaskets with no leaks to speak of. Your gonna need a new crankbolt and another bolt thats the same as the crankbolt but 1/2" longer to put on your pulley. Once again the longer bolt is not needed but advised. If your sending your computer away you might also need a 160 thermostat for there tune. What about tools? Do you have a valve spring compresser and 3 arm puller with fine thread center bolt? Everything else can be done with simple hand tools. You might what to go to home depot and get 5/16 dowel rod (I think thats the size) to hold up the lifters or buy the speed inc tool. Hope this helps you out. Also look at jmx's page www.ls1howto.com theres a great right-up in there.

I added the Basic Camshaft Bolt & Gasket Kit to that as well. Pretty sure that comes with everything i will ned, roght? I will be buying Tims valvespring compressor tool. All other tools my dad has in his garage, and if for some reason he doesn't have them I can just grab it from a friends shop.
I was going to look at buying 16 of the magnet pen things to hold up the lifters, but that dowel idea sounds good. Would I have to do anything to the end of the rod to push up the lifters or anything off the cam before i pull it?
Thanks
