Default How do you know if I have a blown head gasket?

Symptoms are:
1. burning a lot of oil
2. going through a ton of radiator fluid, car got hot once but I pulled over and she cooled down quickly

is this a head gasket issue, or something else?
what can cause a blown head gasket anyway?
(I have sprayed a 200 shot about 3-4 times, but car is properly tuned with good a/f)

You need to pressure test the cap and cooling system to see if you have a problem.

Yeah, don't drive it if you think you have a headgasket problem. You can hydrolock the motor and ruin your whole shortblock!

take off the oilcap and look on the bottom of it. If you see coolant that has condensed then that a sign of a leaking head gasket...

No signs of any leaks around the heads?? No white smoke? If your burning a ton of coolant it is most likely a head gasket. If you arent sure look at your plugs and do some compression testing... do not drive.

I've seen blown head gaskets from people overdrivng nos applications.

im not sure what its called but my mechanic had some test where u could tell if there is carbon dioxide in the coolant, he did that to my car and it came up positive( blown head gasket).

You can also send your oil to blackstone labs and theyll check for coolant...

Id start with a cooling system pressure test though. You could have warped the heads if the car got hot. Plus nitrous is notorious for blowing heaad gaskets and lifting heads.
