Default Post-cammed ls1 startup, this normal?

Just curious...but my car idles high ( 1300RPM ) on startups until it warms up a little bit. Is this a normal thing ? It never did it until after the cam swap is the reason this is in the internal engine section. Just curious, thanks in advance.

have you had your car tuned yet for the new cam? if not that would most likely cause strang idle behavior?
Edit...i just read your sig...probably is a problem in your tune....my car idles a bit higher when i first start it up, but goes back down after a minute or 2... but it's not that high...maybe 1,000rpm at most

my stock tune car idles fast like that for a minute or two on cold startup...i find it to be fairly normal as my ranger does it along with every other fuel injected vehicle i've driven. they always idle a little faster on cold startup for a couple mins.

Yeah, it goes down as soon as it warms up for a minute or two. I guess i'll just not worry about it.
