Default TSP CNC LS6 heads... WHATS THE DEAL???

just wondering if anyone has heard of any proven gains (flow #'s look gr8 but i heard people have gotten ehh results)

i wanna go w. these heads and the TR224 on 114lsa

i kno gains are going to be good, but going withe TSP or Darts or whoever else may be more cost effective for me... im not one to try things and see what happens, im looking for proven combos (but AFR 205's are out of my price range)

any feedback is greatly appreciated guys

I put them on my 402 and went from 481hp to 514hp, so bang for the buck yep I think they are worth it.

Good heads,
Get the Stage 1 with dual springs (or 918s),. Figure out what size chamber you need to achieve 8.5 DCR and mill accordingly.
PM me if you need help out with DCR calculations.
You should see a good 30+ rwhp if you do it properly (quench, SCR, DCR)

Predator, I'm running the same cam on a 112 lsa. I would really like to see what I need to get the most out of a set of LS6 heads like the TSP's or Patriot performance ones.

thanks,
Dave

I got a +25rwhp gain with the stock sized valves....and that was over stock LS6 heads.... Very good IMO. I didnt mill or even have the new comp valve job TSP offers.

Heres a comparison for you (power thru unlocked t/c on both):
Old combo:
348 rwhp with all mods in the sig and a futral F11 (228/230 .576/.595 114+2) and stock '99 853 heads.
New combo:
403 rwhp with all mods in the sig and a 't-rex clone' cam, and the tsp stage 1 (stock valved) ls6 heads.

I'd say a 55 rwhp gain from before and after largely had to do with the heads (probably good for at least 35 rwhp of the gain & both figures were on the same shops' dyno in similar weather conditions FWIW).

patriot performance is having a sale for 243 castings.... $400/pair
can't beat that

you can get them CNC ported, dual springs, blended valve bowls, new valves, and milled to your specs for just a little more $$$ (which is still a great price)
