Coolant Temperatures.
On a hot day, (95-100 F) stuck in traffic. How hot should my coolant temps be getting?
I am hitting 244-246 pretty routinely. Although I am not boiling over any more, I still think I am getting pretty warm.

My fans come on at 180 and 190 and I use the Meziere EWP, no problems to report. Last week it was 92, 96, and 98. On the 98*
day I was running warmer then usual in stop and go traffic. I got to 209* at the highest, and oil temp was 208 considering I was getting no air flow. As soon as traffic started moving temps dropped considerably. Coolant back to 169 and oil 190 (built in oil cooler). I would steer you to have your car redone with LS1 edit the way I have mine and you shouldn't have any problems. Keep in mind I am using the G2 supercool radiator with higher capacity, and the Meziere EWP. Your results may vary a little higher if you are using a stock radiator and pump. GOOD LUCK !!

I just put a digital gauge in a couple of weeks ago and have only had the car out a couple of times but my temperatures were nearly identical to yours. It was a warm day (98°) and while idling in stop and go traffic it was hovering at 242°/243° and this was with the high-speed fan running. Cruising on the open road it ran about 200° to 205°

240's Is Really High You Could Try And Remove The T-stat Or At Least Get A 160 Deg One And A Ewp..i Dont Know If I Would Remove My T-stat In Amryland As You Might Be Too Cool In The Winter I Know I Recently Did It Here In Fl And It Helped To Drop My Coolant Temps Arround 15 Deg... Also A Ewp Might Help You Out A Bit .. If Not That Then Make A Lt1 Radiator???

Also Keep An Eye On Tranny Temps When Your Running That Hot .. It Found My Tranny Fluid Was Getting Heated Alot By My Stock Fluid Cooler .. When I Rerouted My Cooler Lines To Bypass The Stock Cooler And Only Use The Aftermarket Ones I Saw A 30 Deg Drop In Tranny Temps And Much More Stability In Temp Fluctuations
