pretty pricey for nothing forged. call TSP, we got a short block from them at a 347 forged and stock crank for like 3 g's, add some heads and a cam and you'll be way over there mark for less money.

dude, no way that is worth 7 grand. 7 grand for 420hp....baaahahahaa. Thats horrible. You can buy a brand new GMPP ZZ502 crate motor pumping out 502HP and 567 ft. lbs for $7,400. I could go soo many ways with that 7 grand that it is disgusting to think about. Please dont buy that.

It's a package designed for someone that hasn't done much if anything to the car before. It's designed to be a complete, all-in-one upgrade for people that just want to put it in, have it work, and never have to worry about it much.
Also don't forget the other parts included:
Wisper Lid
Ported TB
Corsa Cat-back
Dyno Tuned
The LABOR (technicians removing, disassembling, porting, reassembling, and reinstalling the engine.)
All those must total up to ~$3000 of the price. Remember, it's not just paying for the shortblock.
And any other things you want them to do while in there (i.e. forged components or sodium valves) will nickel and dime you to death. Well, probably more than a nickel or dime.
I personally wouldn't do it, but for a complete package it's not a bad deal. One of those things where the whole has the potential to be greater than the sum of it's parts.

i guess i shouldve elaborated a little more. My car is a baby. It's pampered, 16,000 miles on it. only 6k in the past 3 years. I want something that makes it special, and it has nothing modded on it except for the lid. You think itll be worth anything saying its been to lingenfelter? I really don't race, i just cruise. I just want a little more umf. thanks

If you've never worked on your car, and want to drop it off and pick it up, the package is decent considering all your getting. Myself I bought a Lingenfelter shortblock and did the work myself but that's what I wanted to do. They make good motors, and yes, in XX years having a Lingenfelter package will be worth something. Probably not as notorious as say a Yenko, but the name will be known over others that no one will recall in 20 years.
