Default What are the best pistons for a ls6 346 on nitrious?

Hey guys I have a 02 z06 vette with a ms3 cam+boltons. I am going to be ordering a nitrious setup and would like to get some upgraded pistons for extra insurance of safety. What are the best pistons to go with? I know texas-speed sells quite a few but I dont know which ones to get. Also what would be some good connecting rods to go with as well? Should I replace my crank? I would really like to have a "bulletproof" motor.....when running nitrious so that I have very little chance of problems...any suggestions will be greatly appricated. Also, I will not be running a turbo/blower any time in the future. Thanks guys.

as long as you get a decent shortblock built by one of the sponsors and the pistons are 2618 alloy you should be fine. That, some arp 2000 rod bolts and a decent head gasket will be fine for you. It all depends on how much you plan on spraying though.

I have custom Diamond pistons for my Z28. They have tooled steel wrist-pins and all.
Your best bet will be to ask this question in the nitrous section. Nate also made a good point with the material that they are made out of. That is of ultimate importance.

Your crank will be able to hold more nitrous than you would want to throw at it. Well in excess of 1200 rwhp.

Give eastside a call, they can probably set you up with something... noyzee probably ran over 150 passes last year spraying over 250 on his 346 and was in teh 9's all season long.. and never broke the motor... so I think they have a combo that will easily meet your goals.
