Make sure those springs will fit in the stock heads, if not, expect to have the heads cut a bit, other than that it all sounds good, your stock lifters will be fine

i think im gonna change the lifters anyway b/c i have a slight lifter tick and im worried about having a lifter collapse. i might as well do it all at once dont ya think?

remember though, replacing lifters means pulling the heads.

Get the oil pump. If you do the entire install and don't change the pump, and then get the pump later it's almost like doing the install all over again. It'll save you a lot of hassle later. I just did a new valve train/cam last month and I went with the ported LS6 pump from TSP and it really does add 10 psi! And make sure you get a gasket kit too.

thanks a lot guys...is it worth pulling the heads to change the lifters though. take into consideration that i have a little lifter tick....not real bad but i can hear it. and does an ls6 manifold add that much?
