Default Engine F'ed

Big rainstorm here in SO Cal. Flooded streets. Went through a dip that was too depp. Sucked water into engine. Had the car towed home. Took out the air filter, soaked. Leaking oil. Cracked block on passenger side. Hopefully Insurance will pay to fix. We'll see tomorrow.

Yeah I have Comprehensive. Think I could get away with installing the 408 from Mizfits? What would I need to upgrade from my stock LS1 to make this work (i.e. intake, injectors)?

Wouldn't really need an intake but it would for sure help. Injectors might be fine too, it just depends on what combo you have.

Happened to me too. Not my LS1, my honda. They forked out 7500 for a new V6 Vtec 3.0L. Those damn things are pricey. Good luck.

Wow, that sucks. Let them cut you a check, then have a vendor build you a big stroker... While it does suck, if they cover it, you just won the car-guy lotto.

I think I MAY be getting an LS-6. Remember I live in "The People's Republic of Kalifornia". I can't go too crazy or the SMOG Police will get me.

Kubik inches make it much easier to pass with a big cam and heads. Food for thought

Well insurance has decided to total the car. So I will take the check from them and get me a new Silverado. Not exactly happy about not having my car anymore or having a car payment but, **** happens.
