Default P/V clearance with Patriot heads and tr230

I'm thinking of picking up a set of Patriot Performance heads. They will be the stage 2 heads with a 59cc chamber. I am already running the tr230 cam, and that will stay. Has anyone ran this combo before? Did you have to fly-cut? I know the chambers are welded, but are the heads milled as well?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Even if they are milled(depends how much) you shouldnt have any problems with PTV clearance. I run a TR230 w/ as cast Darts and no problems at all. Even people with bigger cams seems to be fine without flycutting. Make sure to get the propper push rod length because that does cange with differnet head castings and milling.

Nice choice to stay with that cam.. I love mine.

We would suggesst the 2.02"/1.57"/59cc head. On a stock bore there is not going to be a lot of difference in flow between the 2.02" and the 2.055" until you get to the .500" up ranges and then it will only be by approx. 2-5 cfm. Using the 2.02" will also give you more PTV clearance. We have had many customers use cams like this one with no PTV issues.

I would like to go with the 2.02 valves, but the 2.055's are already installed in the heads. I won't be swapping my cam, so if they will work with the larger valves it is ok.

Gunnar, what size are the intake runners? Also, I'm assuming the heads have the stock deck height.
