Default MTI Stealth II Cam: Good Mid-Range Torque?

Ok, I'm re-evaluating my thoughts on getting a cam in the car. I had really thought I'd go super cheap with LS6/LS2 heads and a Z06 cam. But, the more I really think about it, the gains are only above 4000rpm with the cam. While I know it'll pick-up power and quarter mile times, it's the daily driving, "under the curve" torque that I really think I want. I found myself watching the tach the other day driving home. All the driving was between 1500-4000 rpm. Rarely was I going above 4000 unless I was really in it. The 2500 rpm punch (in first or second), shift at 4000rpm is the main driving habit on the street (at least for me). Don't get me wrong, there are times that I shift at 6000, too, but most of the time it's the 2000-4000 range that I'm in.

That being said, would MTI's Stealth II cam pick-up the mid-range torque significantly. I want a very stock-like idle, no drivability issues, and good gains. What do you all think?? I know the old C1 "Hammer" cam made great mid-range, but that idle quality is too much for my daily ride.

I have the stealth II cam, works well for me for a 224 ish cam, you need LT's to benefit, but the cam has strong low and mid range torque, this cam carries well to 6400 RPM before it starts to drop, if i can find my dyno, i can show you, but i made good flat torque from 2500 RPM to 5400 and still carried well to about 6K, I made 378 hp and 364 tq on stock heads and tuning
