Ok i just saw these on ebay!! what do you think bout these? right now ive got the LS1 heads on my 99 ta but im wanting to get them ported and polished. but im wanting a better flowing and bigger valve sized, so the motor can breathe when i get my ms4 or ms3!! he shows the part number but where can i check it out at to see if there truly ls6 heads? would these be better than a ported and polished ls1 heads? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PAIR-...spagenameZWDVW

man, i don't believe that what you posted up are LS6 heads... stock LS6 heads will either have yellow or blue springs, and more importantly check out these LS6 heads in this link... the quickest way to tell if they are LS6 or not is to look at the "D" shaped exhaust ports

thanks i was looking at those heads and thats what i thought i didnt think they were ls6's but i figured i would ask!! so these ls6's will surely out perform any type of ls1 heads ported and polished? also are the valve sizes larger on the ls6 heads than on the ls1's?

stock LS6 heads will out perform stock LS1 heads, ported LS1 heads will out perform stock LS6 heads... both LS1 and LS6 heads come with the same sized valves 2.00 intake, and 1.55 exhaust
do some searches in the Internal Engine forum (if the search function is working), there is a TON of good info in there.

Unless I'm mistaken, all LS6 heads should have the number 243 cast into the head outside the valvecover rail on the lower right side. LS2 heads use the same casting, but the valves are of course different.

Livernois Motorsports, $949 per pair + $300 core
Since you are already looking at the MS3, call Texas Speed. Thet have a package price of just over $1800 for their heads, and that cam, plus 918 springs, gaskets and pushrods.

We can sell you a set of new 243 castings with Ferrea 2.02"/1.57" valves, fully ported less springs or we will intall your springs for $1085.00. This is a fully ported head with our 5 angle valve job and hand blended. Your set of heads will come with a flow sheet specific to them.
