Default Are single-chain Rollmasters loose on the crank?

My engine builder told me that the rollmaster timing set was .005" or .050" (can't remember) too big for the crank. I called and asked a guy Futral (where I bought it from) about it and he said it was okay. That this is normal and something about when the engine heats up it fits or something. Me and my engine builder decided to go ahead with the cloyes hex-adjust timing set. I was just wondering if anybody else has had this?

I don't know but my comp timing set was a tight mother on the crank. I did not measure the tolerance, nor do I know the spec. I hope it works out for you.

I had to press on my rollmaster crank gear using the bolt...It was certainly tight....If yours was actually loose, then yes it probably wasnt right.

Thanks for the info. I'll try to get ahold of futral tomorrow and get my money back.
