Default 228R Specs, 112+2 help me understand

the charateristics of this cam, should i advance the cam 2* to get a little more power up top?, would i loose too much torque?. can i rev the engine until 6700rpm or would be better to shift at lower rpm.?

trying to decide if i go with a bigger cam as shown next (keep in mind if i go with any of those cams, i'll use the stock ls2 243 heads, budget is kind of tight), or just pick a new set (Ported 243's) to work with the 228r.

Option A: (Current Setup)
228R : 228/228 .588/.588 112+2
DCR: 8:43 (stock ls2 heads)

------------------------------------0.006----0.050----0.200
Intake Duration - ID -----------------277-----228------149
Exhaust Duration - ED ---------------277 ---- 228 -----149
Lobe Center Angle - LCA ------------ 112 -----112 -----112
Intake Centerline - ICL -------------- 110 -----110 -----110

Intake Valve opens - IVO------------ 28.5 ----- 4 ------- 35.5 --BTDC
Intake Valve closes - IVC------------ 68.5 ----- 44------- 4.5 -- ABDC
Exhaust Valve Opens - EVO --------- 72.5------ 48 ------ 8.5 -- BBDC
Exhaust Valve Closes - EVC --------- 24.5 ----- 0 ------- 39.5 --ATDC
Exhaust Centerline - ECL ------------ 114 ----- 114 ------ 114
Overlap----------------------------- 53-------- 4 ------ -75degrees

trying to compare this cam with 2 others i've been looking so far (Thanks PredatorZ)

option B:
235/242 .646/.610 112+2
(2129) LSK Comp Cam intake lobe
(3731) XE-R Comp Cam exhaust lobe
112 LSA
110 ICL
DCR: ??
VE's: ??

Option C:
231/240, .643/.600 112+2
(2128 int lobe)
(3730 exhaust)
DCR: 8.31
VE's: ??

i know there are a lot of questions in this post, but i would appreciate your thoughts. i wish i had the money to pick a set of afr 205's and call it a day , so i'm just trying to evaluate all the options i have as of this moment.

Thanks.

Option A cam at 110ICL makes overlap biased to the intake side. It will result in more low end power and will lose some up top. You may want to go back to 112ICL to even the overlap out, although it will reduce your DCR a little.

If you plan on heads i would install it 112 ICL and go with heads later that have smaller chambers to bump DCR and low end power up. In the meantime I would look for more upper end knowing that a set of heads down the road will fix the low end.

BTW, advancing the cam moves the powerband down, not up. Option A provides a very nice DCR, though.
