Default patriot heads?

Looking for a set of pretty good heads that won't break the bank. Just been looking around a bit and saw the patriot heads for around 1300 bucks. They have the 243 ported heads and 5.3 heads. Just wondering if anyone has gone with them and how they like them. I was also wondering how they react to nitrous. Mods on the car include a fast 90/90 231/ 237 cam and most bolt ons. What do you think would be the best way to go???

thanks guys....

243's generally flow better and you can have them milled down if you want the smaller chamber for higher compression.

Yeah...that price is high. I have patriot heads and I'm happy with them. With that cam, I HIGHLY suggest you get the stage 1 243 (doesn't have aftermarket valves in) unless you're willing to flycut.

After doing a little bit of shopping it seamed to me that TSP had the best price ($950) and flow on the 243 stage 1's. Followed by Livernois ($995), TEA also has them at $995 exchanged.

PRC's (TSP) are with LS6 springs, with the 231/237 cam you'll need either 918's or duals (additional $$)

We give a $300 core exchange for 243 heads, so if you have a set to send our CNC 243's w/ 918's would also be $995.

We can do you a set of 243 CNC ported heads with the oem valves, brand new GM castings (with no exchange), and our Patriot Gold dual springs for $1095.00. This is the best buy out there. These heads will perform very well and you will be well pleased with their quality.

I have a set of the Patriot 243 heads, and I'm very happy with them. The quality and performance are both excellent. IMO, these heads are the best value out there, and I was also very pleased with Patriot's customer service.
