Oil Change Light Quiestion
I Have A Change Oil Light That Seems To Turn Everytime I Start My Car. I Just Had The Oil Changed 1000 Miles Ago. Is This Just A Dummy Light To Have The Dealer Service The Car. The Car Is Also Bogging Down Sometimes Around 3000 Rpm And The Oil Presure Gauge Reads High When This Happens. I Own A 1999 Trans Am M6. Thanks For Any Help

Stick the key in the ignition and turn to the "run" position but do not start the motor. From there, go wide open on the gas pedal 3 times really quick and it should turn the light off.
The oil light isnt just a dumy light like a lot of people think. It take into consideration water temp, run time, and a bunch of other factors to decide when its time to come on.
