how to tell if f13 cam was part of the 'bad batch'?

how to tell if f13 cam was part of the 'bad batch'? i just bought a used f13 with an f14 exhaust lobe - 230/234 - 595/585 114 +2 and am afraid of it being one of the dozens and dozens of f13s out there that seem to have screwed up peoples motors - how can i tell before i install?
