It's usually worth it to send them out to someone that know's LS1 heads. Unless of course you want to try your hand at it. 
Give Patriot Performance a call. They'll probably CNC port them for you for as good a price as you'd get locally.

What exactly makes the LS6 head so special? Wouldn't it have the same type of casting as a LS1 head, only milled a little more with a small difference in port size??
Looks to me like you could take a 241 head, have it milled to achieve 10:5.1 CR and do some mild port work to get the same results. Doesn't the LS6 have the same size valves too?
