383 stroker eh =) Depends what you want to do with it? daily driver or drag racer?
Lets say youre a drag racer, try this:
do a 300 ADV in/eh
242/238 @ 0.050
In Valve @ 595
Ex valve @ 588
In/Ex lobe at 350
111 LSA
108 Int C/L
13°BTC 49°ABC /
57°BBC 05°ATC
This should be "roughly" a 3200 to 6600 RPM cam
Happy grinding =)

Alonzo,, tell me is that a 112 or 114?
I am working on a buddy of mine with his cam buildup, and he has a 382, so thinking about yours sounds good.

Re: What is a good cam for a 383 stroker?
Thanks!
I do have a 226.5 cam as the cam doc indicated! I was thinking to change it because I thought this is a small cam for the car! It idles like stock and the power is ok. but I do need tuning and minor things to be done.
I was not very happy with the Dyno run that I made. Did 400 rwhp and 400 rwtq with no tuning, with cats, no cutout. I am hoping to see a 40 rwhp increase. After the tuning and the removal of the cats and installation of a cut out!

They did not say anything!
I do not know?!? Therefore, I went with a 226.5 on a 114. It should have been 228 on a 114, but it came out like that (as tested on cam DR.).
Have any suggestions

You can always call up some of the sponsors and see what they recommend.I wouldnt bother ARE anymore as they have a hard time getting back to paying customers.

I would consider a 234/234 112LSA .6xx lift cam.
The extra cubes will swallow it up quite well and you will make lots of torque. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> The extra intake duration will help cylinder filling as well. Be sure to check PtoV clearance too.
Are you running double springs?

Re: What is a good cam for a 383 stroker?
I'm currently running a 224/224 114 lsa with .539 lift and making 448 rwhp and 439 rwtq with my 382 stroker.
I am also going to change my cam soon and am thinking reverse split since the LS6 intake is the biggest restriction.
