What rwhp, gas mileage, and driveability from stage II LS6 heads and stock LS6 cam?
I have a bone stock 2002 M6 Firehawk. If I get a stage II job done on LS6 heads what kind of power can I expect at the rear wheels with a stock LS6 cam? I will probably add SLP's 1.8 roller rockers too. I am considering the LS6 conversion because I can get it very cheap and I know it gives stock or close to stock gas mileage and driveability before modifying. MY MAIN CONCERN IS KEEPING MY GAS MILEAGE AND DRIVEABILITY STOCK OR AS CLOSE TO STOCK AS POSSIBLE.

If you MAIN concern is getting stock like gas mileage....then stay stock.
But the ls6 cam and heads will give you almost identical driveability and gas mileage. You probably wont even be able to tell a difference in gas mileage. You could even do a somewhat larger cam with those heads and get much more power and still minimal difference in driveability and gas milage.

Mine aren't stage II, but i get 250 to a tank everytime. sig has #s, and look at my dyno thread for the pic of an untuned run. I will do another run soon fully tuned.

RWHP = Mileage
I got 31.5 mpg coming home (turnpike @ 65 mph) from Carsile last year. My around town was 18-20 mpg. If I put my foot into it alot, don't ask.
Ported LS6 heads/MTI R1 Cam.
BTW, 420 RWHP, 4:10 gears, M6 '00 C5.

Back in the day (3-4 yrs ago when street racing was still badass here in houston) we had a setup similar on my buddies car, made a lot of money w/ his car
Stock ls1 heads
Ls6 cam
Ls6 Intake
Pulley
4.10 in stock 10bolt
Hooker Longtubes w/ ory through a cutout when we raced
Homeported TB
Freemods and a little weight loss
Car sounded stock
Car made 370rwhp and ran consistent 11.70's @ 118MPH
So I think w/ a nice set of ls6 heads you can see 400rwhp no problem.

MPG and driveability are mainly handled in the PCM. I run a 232/238 cam with ported 241 heads and SVO 30's. I'm close to eliminating the last of my very minimal surging (once I have a little more time to put into it) and I have no problem getting to the 300 mile mark before I hit "E"....and that's with a few WOT bursts in there. On the highway, I'd probably pull 26mpg running 70mph. I'll find out for sure this week when I head back to Delaware. It's 630 miles and I don't want to have to stop more than once for gas.
