What to do with '03 Z06???
A buddy of mine has an '03 Z06 and is ready to throw about $8-10 grand into it. If you guys had this opportunity, Which I'm sure several of you have, which route would you take? Please, give me your insight.
He's considering a Magnacharger. He's also considering doing a head and cam swap. Right now, the only thing he has done to the car is longtubes. It's in really good shape with only about 30k miles on it.
Opinions needed please!

i'm a fan of ati procharger over magnacharger.. plus he can keep the stock hood, if I remember right magnacharger requires an aftermarket hood.
definitely heads/cam, all bolt ons.
if he does the install himself, that saves some $$$ and maybe do the blower add.
definitely check out ATI procharger!

He would just need heads and a cam to go with this.
It would be a MONSTER!

I definately agree. Read a lot about it and sounds perfect. Comes with the a hood too. A guy on here "jberke" has a thread with pics up and numbers to how his K/B system did. It put out some great numbers.

I've done the H/C thing, and all the bolt ons, save a EWP, and if I had to do it over again, I wouldn't. The cammy, old-school sound I was going for, along with the increased performance, is not worth the drivability problems. I'd suggest either the A&A Vortech, or ECS Paxton kit, for the most bang for buck addons. Those KB's are cool, but you have to get a fugly big-*** hood to clear it, which I think is out of place on a ZO6.

I would start with these if going F/I :
-Forged 347ci
-F1R or Novie Paxton Supercharger kit
-Upgraded clutch
-RPM stage V tranny
-Supporting fuel (ECS) if over 600rwhp
No way around it....you're going to spend around $15,000 to do it the correct way if going F/I. If you want to go N/A, just get a fully built LsX block 440+ci and get 600rwhp N/A. You're friend has to ask himself what he wants to do with the car?
