Default Need Help Deciding on Heads for Torquer 2 Cam

I need help on what heads I can run to make the car faster. I can rape most cars 1 & 2 gear but after that my buddy's STOCK 99 LS1 Camaro can stay beside me, and I mean all stock except a lid and cat back. I have looked at many different heads, but I want real world comparison of heads with this cam.

Mods:
Torquer 2 232/234, .595"/.598" 112lsa
Header's
Ory
GMMG
LS6 Intake
4.10

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks, Joe

I vote TSP 5.3L Stage 2.5 heads or TSP or Livernois CNC's LS2/LS6 heads.

Absolutely the best bang for the buck....and tons of guys making 400+ rwhp on that combo with supporting mods.

Either your friend is spraying or you just suck at driving. j/k On the top end, I believe your friend can keep up due to your 4.10 gears which suck for top end.

I've got it on good authority that the T2 with full boltons will make over 450rwhp with TSP LS6 2.5 stage heads. In fact, You'll need to get larger injectors to realize the full potential. That's on an M6 btw. While the 5.3s will raise your compression a bit, I don't believe they will out flow the afore mentioned heads. Still not a bad choice between the two for budget heads. Ofcourse AFR 205s are out there if money isn't an issue.

No, not off hand... it's rare for customers that didnt get the install done here to send me dyno graphs... even if they say they are going to. Ill see if I can dig up something.

I was thinking about this combo--any clearance issues with this combo?? or i may just research a monster cam for these heads.

I am going to vote for the PRC 5.3 heads. As long as you don't deck the head much more, you wont have and piston to valve clearance issues. Plus take a look in the dyno section, many combo's with the T2 cam and these heads are laying down around 450+ with all the supporting mods. Its a great setup!

Any depending what you mean by monster cam, but yes you will start running into tight clearances once you get above the mid 23x durations and .600+ lift cams. My ".234 ... .598" intake side cam had issues, but TSP can set it up for their MS3 to clear. Once you get into those size of cams though, you HAVE to check for the proper clearance.
