Loss of power what is going on?!!
Hey guys, I'm at a loss as to what is going on with my car.
It's an 2000 SS
408 Iron block stage 3 gtp ported heads 90/90 intake, TR MAF, nick williams throttle body. I just bought this car about a month and a half ago. It has always smoked under full throttle and after sitting overnight it will smoke at start up. I assume this is the valve seals. Anyway , to the point... i was driving it the other night beating on it a little when out of nowhere it feels as if i lost 200 horsepower. The car still goes but i couldn't roast the tires if i had to. It idles horribly and seems to load up before it even moves. I have plenty of fuel pressure, my MAF was dirty but i cleaned it ( no change) i unplugged the maf (no change) i had changed the spark plugs to TR6's. There are no misfire codes either. I am going to do a leakdown/compression test tomorrow but other than that i'm at a total loss as to what to try next. any helpful advice would be much appreciated, thanks guys.
