Help me pick a cam fro my 02 Z06-please!
Here are the requirements, i'm not looking for a crazy lumpy idle, I want good driveability as this car is driven day in day out. Must pass emissions too. So far I have run as fast 11.656@117.4( car is consistent +- 1 tenth) and dynoed 376/367 with the mods in my sig. I would like to get as close to the tens as possible. I will install LT headers if I have too but so far I'm not convinced that they're worth anything unless u run without cats. So far I've been thinking about the MTI B1, or C1 with a 114 centerline or the TR reverse split 227/224 or their 220/220 or their 224/224 114. I don't want bucking or surging just more power-I'm willing to sacrifice some driveabilty but stalling at the lights with the AC on is NOT acceptable. I know u guys can help me out-let's here ur suggestions-thanks.

For a daily driver I would pick the MTI B1 or the Comp 216/220 114 LSA. Might need some idle adjustment but both should pass smog test.

how about the new comp 212/218-.558/.563-115... should be smooth, and pass emissions... i wouldn't do a reverse split with stock exhaust... maybe a custom 220/224-.56x-114??

I should point out that i don't mind a lope but i don't want any surging or bucking. The thing with the LT's is I have yet to see anyone pick up anymore than 10 horse on these cars-most i see is like 5 horse gains and ten without cats. The headers are too short on these cars to really be a LT header-I think the only design which may excell is the LG units. I think i may throw the cam in first and do headers after-the factory manifolds on thses cars work really well.

TR227/224 with the LG headers, or cut outs for now. The fact that a cam is in the engine the exhaust needs to be opened up better than what it is. You might have seen low numbers with headers only, but with headers and a cam im sure it will make more.
