ok so sinceive owned the car at 25k miles i have always used mobile 1 5w30 every 3k miles. i decided to try other oils and i went with royal purple. when i changed to RP my car had 42k miles now has 42940k miles and i think i have a possible spun bearing? what are the chances of a low mile ls1 lossing a bearing? maybe it was just a coincidence but still 900 or so miles after i had changed to RP 5w30 the motor all of a sudden has a loud squeeking and tick/knocking noise from inside the motor? the wierd thing is the noise is only there from 1kRPM to 2800RPM and its loudness depends on how much gas i give it. but every time i shift (its a 6 speed) when i clutch in the noise sounds like a stuttering blow off valve maybe like a pigeon but higher pitch haha. this is all the more reason to go out and by a built motor which i am in the process of doin but i need to be able to drive my car till then and this noise is just so loud

i doubt it was the royal purple... problems always start somewhere and it doesnt just happen right away. even thought rp is crap oil no since they changed it i still doubt that it was b/c of that

What? I've always heard good things about Royal Purple fluids. What have you heard bad about them?

RP did not hose your engine. RP is not "crap oil"

I doubt is Royal purple . I have also heard all good things about it. I have used it on all my cars with no problems
