It depends somewhat on which cam, how good the tuning is, your particular car, but you should be over 400rwhp.

Man, what cam? How much shaved off the heads?

An A4 look for 400 to 430 rwhp or there bouts... in an M6 Add 30 or so more hp at the rear wheels.\

But man that is a broad generalization.

I would recommend the C1, the heads milled 30 thous and a free flow cat back with the headers being what ever is on sale.

P.S, get the programming.... it makes life so much easier. Not needed... but easier.

I know its a broad question but I really don't know what I want or need. I only have a few bolt ons and borla with mufflex off road pipes. My suspension is completely modified but for street. would the c2 or bigger cam be to big for a street car. not a daily driver but a monster street machine. I dont care how it idles, the bigger the lope the better but without comprimising hp. thanks for the comments!!

bigger is not always better.

Lope may sound good... but the computer sure dont like a lot of lope.

I would advise a relative new comer to stay semi conservative with the cam choice... having some big *** cam in there may SOUND like a good idea.
But i run plenty quick with a medium size cam. (C1 or C2)

Call up MTI tell them I said howdy, and ask them your question. 281 870 8787

You take care and dont be anyones guinea pig.
Go with whats proven...once you figure most of this stuff out later... then step out and try some new stuff. But be warned. Being a pioneer can get REAL expensive REAL quick.

Later.
