Engine runs hot! Please help....
Hey all, im stuck. See if anyone had this problem.
My coolant has been running hotter than normal latley.
At first it was really bad, around town it would be around 210 then i would hot the highway and it would jump to 250-260!
So recently i put a new 160 stat in, new cap, new temp sending unit, cleaned and flushed the radiator, i even took out my a/c condensor so the radiator will get more air.
After all that it helped a little but not what i want.
Now it will idle in the driveway all day and stay around 175. once i hit the street it will climb to around 200-220 and stay there.
What are your guys cars running at normally??
Im in CT and its like 75 degrees and still running warm!
Im have a scanmaster to keep track of the temp.
Also my fans are working fine and my air dam is in place.
The only thing i didnt replace was the waterpump and radiator.
The car has 45,000 miles and every thing looks clean and fine to me!!
This is bugging me out!!
Any info would be great!! Thanks!

I wonder if you have a head gasket that is leaking and combustion gases are getting into the coolant? There are chemical tests that you can buy for this to check it out. Look at this web site http://www.arrowheadradiator.com/hea..._leak_test.htm
