Default Benefit of rocker swap?

Is there any noticable difference in doing a rocker arm only swap over the stock set up? Or would it be better just to go out and get a complete heads set up? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Well a rocker swap is much cheaper than swapping in a new set of heads.

The price difference is so great that you really can't compare the two.

Should I get an oil change, or just go ahead and get a new car?

Don't swap rockers unless you change to heads that need new roller tip rockers.

If you don't plan on swapping cams in the future and want some extra power you can get the 1.8 rockers.

I've heard some rockers will help the sewing machine effect...

Yes some rockers do get rid of the sewing machine noise, but usually only cammed cars with upgraded valvetrain have that sewing machine noise.
