TEA stage 1.5, CC 216/220 dyno
Thanks Brian and Brent at TEA for getting me three sets of heads out in a week, you guys are O-K
400.1rwhp (the 404 is a rev limiter spike), not bad through a 12 bolt/3.90s, 17" SS wheels and MAC headers with the MAC y-pipe with crappy MAC cats. Stock TB with the bump stop mod as well. I have two other 2002 M6s with Hookers/off road pipes with the exact same mods as this one, curious to see what kind of power they make with the long tubes and stock rear.. The stage 1.5 TEA 5.3 heads have a 64.5cc chamber unmilled, my stock heads were 67.5cc so that puts me around 10.5:1 compression.
I know 400rwhp is no big deal anymore but its a nice driving combo with the tiny cam plus you dont have to wind it to 6700rpm, cant wait to get too a 1/4 mile track..
Here is all the mods dynos in the last month:
1st dyno: MTI lid, K&N filter, FTRA, ASP pulleys (alt and crank), descreened MAF, 9900 miles
2nd dyno: LS6 intake, MAC headers/cats, Minor LS1edit tune, 10,500 miles
3rd dyno: CC 216/220 525/235 114lsa cam, tuning, 11,500 miles
4th dyno: TEA stage 1.5 heads, little more tuning and 12 bolt/3.90, 12,000 miles
I'll get one of the 2002s on the dyno this week..

Good numbers! I'm about to install my TEA 1.5's next weekend, with a Comp Cams 222/224 .566/.568 115 LSA cam. I hope my numbers are in the same ballpark as yours. (No headers here though, and through an A4 instead of an M6.)
Did you "clean up" your TEA heads at all, as in polishing the ports after they sent them to you? Just curious, as I spent the past week with a polishing wheel and some 600-grit sandpaper to smooth out the ports... Not sure how much it'll help, but I figure it won't hurt.

Mine didnt look too bad, I cleaned up the CNC marks in the chambers a little and that was it. They blended the intake port and the bowl pretty well by hand so I just left it (I'm kinda lazy). I'm happy with the results from these..

Re: TEA stage 1.5, CC 216/220 dyno
i just got mine on a few days ago and man the car feels like a friggin BEAST! I havent been WOT yet cause im giving them a few break in miles. But the idle is ,much better than it was cam only. I guess the car can breath finally. Those are good numbers for such a tiny cam!! Add a bigger cam and you woulda been in the 410-430mark no doubt man! Congrats.. ill have my dyno sheet in 2 weeks hopefully. I would like to break 400 in this A4

Higher compression = better idle with a larger cam. I'm not ashamed, I'm pretty happy to get 400 with cats/full exhaust and a 12 bolt. Our dynojet isnt exactly what I would call 'generous'. My old vette only did 387 with a locked converter with the same combo but it did have 80,000 miles on it and was an auto
I may swap out the cats for better ones to see what happens but how bad can these be, might try a set of those pacesetters/ory to see what happens..

Not bad. And a VERY streetable setup I might add. Not to mention that camshaft should help wake up the car with a 100 shot of NOS.
